Our Philosophy
The management of the Annai Veilankanni's Educational and Cultural Society founded by Dr. Devaraj in the year 1988 has progressed steadily in its pursuit of excellence. Annai Veilankanni's College of Nursing believes that the education offered in this institution should enable the students to serve the sick with a tender and compassionate heart.
We believe in providing nursing education based and built on scientific principles and sound educational theory and practice, in order to prepare professionally qualified nurses, who will be able to give comprehensive nursing care and function as team members in all health care spheres.
The College of Nursing professes the motto "Learn, Live, Lead". Being enlightened with Divine inspiration and scientific knowledge, we go forth to lighten the burden of human kind and kindle the flame of love and knowledge and dispel the darkness of ignorance.

Objectives of Educational Programme
The aim of the course is to select students with potential for professional Nursing and provide the needed environment and experience.
To develop an understanding of the biological and behavioral Sciences applied in meeting the Nursing needs of individual patients and acquire ability to plan and implement it in care of the sick, prevention of disease, promotion of health, rehabilitation and in meeting emergency situations in co-operation with others.
To develop understanding and ability to use communication skills effectively and maintain a good interpersonal relationship.
To create an understanding of the Nurse's individual responsibility as a member of society and as a member of nursing profession and ability to participate in changing needs of the society.
To develop an appreciation and awareness of the need for continuing education for growth and development of self and profession.
To develop an understanding of nursing with a view to generate new perspectives and innovative approaches to deal with problems encountered in nursing and health field.
To equip the students with sound theoretical knowledge by integrating other science subjects like behavioral science and biological science
